Pheasant Grove is situated on the border of South Auckland and the Northern Waikato District on 2.5 acres, 1 hour's drive from Auckland city (New Zealand).
Pheasant Grove Labradors is a small working kennel established in 1982 with the introduction of our first pedigree Labrador puppy Saphira Pheasant Phinda.
Dave, being a keen shooter, was talked into taking his new pup along to a Gundog Trial, which soon found us both becoming involved in the trialing scene.
Next came a yellow bitch Grenfell Barley then a black bitch Beldon Shadow for Mary to trial.
Our introduction into the show world followed.
These three Labradors were the foundation to Pheasant Grove Kennels.
Our dogs are all house dogs, although they are kennelled at night or when we are off the property, they are always with us, either in the garden, playing ball, sitting on the patio or swimming in the lake when we take them there.
Our aim at Pheasant Grove is to produce dual purpose Labradors that are sound, show keenness to work, a willing temperament and are good looking gundogs.
All breeding stock is x-rayed for Hip and Elbow Dysplasia and have current eye certificates.
Puppies are occasionally available to approved homes.
